Anyone in the vicinity? He has a Bostig converted 1986 Automatic Adventurewagen. The van probably has a Bosch SR 25X starter - which may be special order. He's having it towed to Dave's World in Duncannon Friday afternoon - who seems to really know his stuff. Dave said he may not have one - and it may be tough to find on a Friday.
Any chance anyone has a starter in that neck of the woods? Or a place to crash if not?
My brother Watts Dixon is at 336-209-0777. |

I hope he got it figured out.
but just to add to this and other's short term memory that for automatic vans
a SR17X starter from a 76-79 automatic bay bus can be mounted in a pinch with only a little modification (to the fat ring terminal on the solenoid stud)
they're often in stock at an autozone/pepboys/napa and are quite cheaper than the vanagon unit. _________________
