Does anyone know if either regular bug or even super front drum brakes can be adapted to the type 3 spindles?

reason I'm asking is I am building ( based on 2 different type 3 pans) a pair of mad max style some-what crude multi purpose off road vehicles for use on the beach ( surf fishing/surfing/ wind surfing/ camping.... hunting/ camping/ trail clearing work) and on acreage/ hunting lease.) and I do not want or need the stopping power of the stock discs...

yeah, that I know... I presume that the bearings and spindles ( size/ diameter etc.) should be the same, so I figure I will just have to modify the backing plates to fit the spindles... gonna give it a try see what it takes, I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried it before.

Here is a link to some pics of a "Prototype" buggy on a type1 pan....

I donated the pan and shop/time laot of the tools, My friend Robert his welding/fab skills and tools, and Nathan is funidng some of the costs of the build. We will share the joy of this one until we all get one built for ourselves!

We are planning on doing 2 on type 3 pans and a couple more on type 1's in the future

What that means is that the backing plates should be the same; it should just bolt up. Unless I'm way off. Get a T3 disc setup and pull it apart. See ig the drum fits.
The easiest way to see if something fits is to try it on, right?
