I just scored a 71' double slider with a TIV in it!! Both sides had the handles and the indention. That fuel door appears to be in the same spot as my old 69'.

Weather Report was a fairly well acclaimed jazz/fusion band. Joe Zawinul was the leader, made famous from his previous sessions with Cannonball Adderly. Jaco Pastorious was the best bass player ever,IMO. Wayne Shorter played alto and tenor saxophones, made a name for himself early on playing with Miles. They later went their separate ways to do albums with other people and session work. The others in the band were heavies as well but I didn't follow what they went on to do. The album "Heavy Weather was probably their most popular album- the song "Birdland" is still heard from time to time, even in elevators. Smile

This has to be the coolest "thread hi-jack " ever found on the Samba!

I stumbled upon a site by Alphonso Johnson the other day. He was a bassist with W/R before Jaco. He responds to questions directly and is a very cool cat. Check it out. Speaking of Jaco...

I was at a jam party a couple of weeks ago and a guy who had been friends with him was there. It's was nice to reminisce about such a gifted and unique giant of music with someone who knew him personnaly

Man I recently aquired a newer release called the 'Jaco Pastorius Big Band'. It rules! Victor Wooten, Christian McBride, etc playing tribute. No one has ever played fretless like that cat.
