Got an email from a childhood friend today. We attended elementary school and junior high together but have kept in contact all of these 40 plus years.
The email, do you want to buy a bus sitting in my Dad's backyard?
Sure, maybe, can I see some photos. Here is a tid bit of them, but it is a champagne bus and I got it for $500. Pretty stoked.
Don't bother looking up the license plate, it is out of the system and I have already paid for it.

The top color doesn't look right for a CE. Is it a '78? _________________ First Trip in the RustyBus:

Finally got her home today.
Interior seems correct, albeit dusty.
Correct door panels.

i have a *PERFECT* ce middle seat kick panel i was going to do evil things to for my own benefit.
if you need it, let me know. i would need a suitable replacement (any color, really) but would hate to destroy this one if you could use it. _________________

Not too shabby for a $500 bus.
I got offered a 69 bay camper for nothing a few years back. It had apparently been sat in the old guys garden for nearly 10 years.
Unfortunately i lost the blokes number (and had no address either) so missed out. It probably got scrapped. _________________ If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all. |
