Wooo Hoo!!!
Putting this on my 2020 calendar. Life is too short. I do not want to miss this.
(I'll need to rearrange shipping of my euro bus project since it will be hard for my '87 Westy to be in AZ/Mex Feb 2020, Key West April 2020, and then UT for SS20 in May 2020.) _________________ Dave O

That would be a great setup, but I prefer an automatic and would like to keep it German. _________________ '90 White Westy ("Knarr")

Greetings!
The next Annual Baja Rally will cross the border on 5 February 2020. It may be the last because seems to be dwindling (no company this year) and I've "been there/done that" most of Baja California.
That being said, WELCOME! Make reservations at the Potrero County Park ASAP, as I have learned we will overlap with a large caravan on 3 and 4 Feb. I have alaready made my reservation - in space 1 on 3 and 4 February. |
Got my Potrero camp reservations. Site 33, backs up to 1. _________________ Dave O

The psych is real! My wife is gonna fly out to San Diego and join me for the trip now! I’ll see you at BBB as I head to San Mateo campground to surf for a week before the rendezvous at Protrero |

It has been brought to my attention that both the marine VHF or the FMRS/GMRS handheld radios we used in the past really suck for range.
The third option is CB radio. Though the CB radio in Mexico is used by truckers and in rural neighborhoods as party lines, I think we could find a channel to use without having to hop around too much.
That being said, I'm bringing a CB radio next year. It's not a requirement, just a suggestion. _________________ '90 White Westy ("Knarr")

We are prepping the bus for this year's trip to baja. We had intentions last year, but things just did not work out that way. We will be attending BBB and then make our way down to the meetup. We are definitely looking forward to going! @tikitimebus |

Well that's entirely dependent on how much tequila also makes the trip, now isn't it? |

Been wanting to tag along on this adventure for several years now, but have been sidelined. Mostly because my van has been in the shop OVER 17MONTHS! However, it was supposed to be done this month (it's not). Next month? Fingers are crossed. So I guess I'm 75% in for february. |

Nope.
2wd does just fine. Just avoid 2ft deep loose sand at the side of single-lane roads... _________________ Jim Crowther

I hope not. I've been coming down here for too many years in my 2WD Westy _________________ '90 White Westy ("Knarr")
