I'm building a sand rail that is for street, off-road, and hunting. I need to replace my existing exhaust and am looking for something quiet that will not take away too much performance. Oh yea, I don't want to break the bank. So basically I want it all-ha. That all said What do yall recommend? or more important any that I should stay away from.

non of those would be "quiet" you should look into a real muffer
not a spertrapp/glass pack

Something like this, then you can always swap to a stinger if you desire later on.

I've had a Turbo muffler on my Hi Jumper for decades. Works well. quiet enough - way quieter than just a Super Trapp, but has a very nice tone and will pass field tests for spark arresting. I bought a 2" Thrush Turbo at Autozone and used a muffler shop u-bend which weren't available then from VW suppliers. The muffler, even one of the lightweight SuperTrapp ones needs support.

I just picked up a used header for a type 4 that has one of those turbo mufflers on it. I was surprised how light weight they are.
