While you are free to access it, attach those cable tubes to the bracket the best you can, before you attach the bracket to the bus. The clutch tube is notorious for coming un-welded from all the force over the years.

Nipped outside with a tape measure. I've put the heater baffles/pips back on since I took this photo, so I can only get measurements to within a couple of mm, but...

Looking forward from the rear, there is a cut out in the down-turned lip of the floor panel on the left hand side where the left hand heater tube passes through.

The left hand edge of the bracket is 100mm from the right hand edge of that cut out.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

As a double-check that left hand edge of the bracket is 350mm from the inside edge of the frame rail where it meets the torsion tube.

Putting a measure along the circular nose cone mount tube on the torsion tube, the distance from the rearmost face of that circular mount to the bracket is 50mm.

My transmission is out at the moment being rebuilt (I pick it up on Saturday Razz ).

Feed the cable ends into the tubes to make sure the welding did not close those tubes up. Looks good!

With those green fab sheets, it is so convenient and so clean restoring split buses in the States. Here in the Philippines, since it is so expensive to score those green fab sheets from the States, we tend to resort of doing of own fabrications. It demands more hours of hours of continuous fabrications.

Yeah... those pins can be a pain in the butt.

When you get a new pin... you may want to consider adding a grease fitting.

Thank you! A great modification!

After a few hours all the dents worked out of the roof, the previous owner loaded some long wood or something over the whole car i think.

After some nice holiday trips with the T3 Westfalia this Summer at least to the island Sardinia (~10.000km) i try to push my ass back to my single cab!

The shop is full of work!

I finaly finished the tool to disassemble the front axle parts and sandblasted them.

Checked it with the VW tool, they are fine!
