maybe another tool idea for Knipex? smooth jaw on one side, and teeth for the other? They already make the parts Smile

We would see Wink

I bet knipex is already make somethibg like that!

I measure the regulator voltage, at normal rpm and full rpm, is that to much?

Manual says 6-7V at nomal and 7.2-8.2V at full speed….

How dead is the battery? Does it go down fast after a short time? Are those metric volts? It is high. Is the D+wire getting hot? Is the generator getting hot?

Never heard of that one before Razz

Fortunately there is only one scale for voltage. Electronics is complicated enough even without multiple scales for the same thing.

The user manual says macimum 8.2 Volt at high rotation?

That right there is the official “Clara Approved Installation Method”!! I’ll wager even the socks pass muster.

If Austria is giving you too much of a hassle, register it in Germany. We have well defined procedures for re-registering vehicles with lost papers, no registration for long time and imports. Thanks to the EU it should be no problem to (re-)import it to Austria and then register it in Austria.

Let me know if you need help.

So after weeks of paperwork i managed that the authority give a green light for the Original old Papers i have, so i were able to bring the car to the Inspection.

Inspection completed!!! Very Happy

So i right away i drive to my insurance company and catched some plates and the fresh licence sticker.

The rest of the day i spent driving the SC around and tested everything.

after years of welding, sanding, .... its on the road again, but there are still many little things to do.

Congratulations! You've reached the finish line and are now working on the minor punch list of final completion tasks.

There's nothing like driving a VW for the first that you've had fully disassembled and scattered all over the shop!

Well done!
