Does anyone have good sources for German brake parts (master cylinder, front wheel cylinders early, drums, misc parts). Would prefer one place that also ships to Canada.

Also, is ATE still ATE? (Good stuff? Or are they in the re-boxing industry like Bosch is)

I looked at Wolfsburg west and they sell German masters and wheels cylinders but they are not all in stock. I want to buy the good stuff too.

My local car parts store guy took my brake parts request and looked up what stores/warehouses had the items and called them for me to send the FTEs and ATEs.

There are reboxed FTE, China, Taiwan, India, Mexico, Brazil that I've seen all come in the new box.

The FTE ones have been from Italy, Germany, Poland, and Czech Republic but all the same killer quality.

Here's a quote from the FTE website:

"Quality responsibility

Our suppliers know the quality requirements of the automotive industry and bring them to life. They also have a certified QM system. They pursue the notion of a "zero-error strategy" and assume responsibility."

I've gotten German FTE front wheel cylinders for $14 US.

You could send all your old stuff to a re-builder and get it sleeved and rebuilt for less than German new.

90% of the China parts I have received have been good after a tear down, cleaning, inspection and assembling. I would do this with German part too.

Also look out for stuff that has sat on a shelf for a long time, the rubber will most likely be bad.

So ATE is no longer made in Germany??? Bustoration has the 67 only dual mc by ATE. It is about $10 less than the one by WW which is German made.
Don't mind paying extra for quality, but if the ATE is as good as the WW product I don't mind saving money either. Part # 211611011Q

I bought this MC a week ago: it says "Made in Germany" and 32.14, that means, I guess, fabricated 2014, 32nd week
