I have a 1966, 11 window, safari with original paint. It is running with all lights functioning. Seats are un upholstered, springs only. Rebuilt 1776 dual port. Very very little rust. It is insured through a classic insurance company. What value should be placed on it for insurance purposes. What is a retail value. Rarity. Thank you

We need photos. Or compare to similar busses listed in the classifieds. Original Safaris or after market? A splits are rare, but a 66 11 window less so.

Ball park for insurance, I would say $10-12k. I'm sure others will offer different opinions.

I was going to say $10 to $15k if the no rust business is true.

Buy as much insurance as you can afford and feel comfortable with if it is a "stated value" policy. However be prepared to back it up.

If it is an "agreed value" policy have a reputable company appraise it who is familiar with patina, survivor type buses.

It is very difficult to increase you level of insurance if an unfortunate event should ever arise.
