I've done some searching and I think it's pearl white. :p I'm familiar with the search function, but can't seem to find if anyone has found a rattle can version of this white. I had to do some rust repairs on the window frames and I want to touch them up before I put the headliner and windows in. Do any of you know of a rattle can color close to OG color? You can see from my pictures the Biscuit and another I found are NO where near close. :p
Anyhow, we bought this bug for my 13yr old son, so I can teach him the ins and outs of maintaining a vehicle. I bought it while I was on hyrdocodone (sp) recovering from knee surgery. It's not a bad start, it's missing some of the original equipment and has been slammed. We'll get past it and continue fixing the wrongs. I had to buy a rack for it, it needed something to make it stand out more.
Trailering it home
Rust in the front and rear window frames
Rust removed and replaced with OG donor bug metal
Mostly complete engine
Yes I know it has the wrong taillights, they are lower on my priority list right now. _________________ Anthony

Just get the right color in a quart size and put it in a compressed air sprayer. That way you get the right color and can use it like a rattle can sprayer. _________________ "Sic Vic Pacem, Para bellum - Pray for peace, prepare for war."

I think it's Flint Grey. Here are some pics of Flint Grey from the gallery.

L363 Arctic has a blue tint to it. I've been considering this color for my '61 for a while (I know it's a 1960 only color, but I'm not a purist ). Here are some examples of Arctic.
From the gallery:
Examples I have found from internet searches:

Ruby Red, no, Turkish!
Really, it's Pearl white as originally suspected- even the rims match for that year and color. Nice car- keep Krylon off it or I'll have withdraw my analysis. _________________

I don't think it's pearl white either, and pearl white wasnt offered on US bugs in 60. It's not a standard. It doesnt look alabaster either, I think it does look like Flint grey
go to your local automotive paint shop and ask them to color match it and put it in a spray can. You are not really going to get close off the shelf |

Thanks brother and others for the input. I really need to get it sprayed to get the windows in and the headliner finished. It has blue colored interior panels as well.
I only have black seat covers and headliner, because they came with the car. As well as all new door rubbers, window rubbers, scrapers and running boards. Now I need to sort the ignition aka spark issue and it should be running soon! _________________ Anthony
