3 years in the making. It,s done and runs. 83 by 75. Chev h beam con rods 5.4 inch with small bolts narrowed to fit the porsche crank. Porsche 1960 era crank taken to chev 2in journals and found an extra mm in stroke.A new 36 cam reground to porsche specs.

The case is an 1958 date alighn bored by JR Herity in Edmonton. I used an 365 lightened flywheel (aa) ,Power pulley,1700lb kenedy clutch with a unsprung 200 mm F&s disc, Piston and cyls are 83mm dome top of a 63 type 3(S) I used a WW dual port kit, ported by myself,And used dual valve springs from a jaguar 1956-1985 .Compression is 9-1 plus whatever is in the dome tops.

The stock pushrods were removed and with work a set of 3/8 chromemoly empi pushrods were install to set up the geometry on the 1.25 speedwell rockers. Stock valve covers were modified to clear the rockers (yes we welded spoons in ) I,m presently running the 28mm WW carbs and a 1&3/8 header with stinger.

I never got to use this engine at Bonneville this year due to an oil leak from a gallery plug.(my f-up) But weather permmiting on Sunday I,m taking it to the last street legal race of the year to get a 1/4 mile time. The time to beat on the drag race sticky is 15.8.I,m going to give it a wirl.

It,s going to be a long winter without something to talk about. Brad has photo,s of the engine assbly that I will be posting so I can explain our reasons for doing what we did.I,m wide open to tell any speed secrets I have.

Should have looked a little closer at stuff out on the salt EH?
Just wasn't a real good year at the salt for some this year. The expanded World Finals/ Speed Week was rained out also.

Today's 1/4 mile results 17.03 at 75.93 mph. The carbs and okrasa linkage must be improved upon .The engine ran well but I felt like I was sipping thru a straw. It"s short of what I wanted but I plan on developing a pair of holley bug sprays for the engine. I will try to start posting pics and build story tommorow night. Rolling Eyes

Laughing Sounds like a great engine, we found problems with the ww carbs and linkage on our 1493cc 36 we ran in Ohio on Sat.

I just noticed Our time slips give the 1/8th results. 10.60 at 61.76. Is this a new record? the engine is ww challenge legal. Does anyone know if drag racing records are recognized in the ww challenge. Now we are happy!

so you ran okrasa heads and 28mm carbs? why not the 32pcib's?

This was the last afternoon at the track as the onset of winter is near. I.m sorry I never had the chanche to flip on the 34's. HAVE YOU EVER RUN A SET OF THESE. I just ran out of time.What do you think of the dual holley idea,It's real simple to make manifolds and they are a 36mm throtle plate.

okrasa used 32pcib's. i like the 34 pci more at all.
with your engine 28 pci will limit you specially when it comes on rpm.
how big are your valves if stock okrasa valves your engine is limited in rpm at all. you have alot displacement. that needs more cam and more carb to breath. its' powerful but your rpm range is not that big to go fast but nicely go strong!

the last build i did is an original okrasa tsv 1300
with a little love on the heads. i build dome pistons and rised the compression ratio to 10.4:1, stage 2 cam with 1.25:1 rockers from speedwell.
ratio rockers and more cam and bigger carbs will make your engine run.
