|
|
Hi,
I am going through the classifieds quite regularly and I am surprised that this SO-34 is not sold.
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1628792
It seems to be in good condition an the price ok for a SO-34 which is one of the most sought after westies.
Ok, cloth is not original and there is no pic of the engine, but as a whole it looks pretty nice.
What are the opinions of the SO-34 gurus here?

i think the consensus is that 34 grand is a good bit of money, and the owner is not negotiating, this bus has been discussed multiple times before.
google: 1 owner all original Survivor subhatch flipseat and you will find all kinds of comments _________________ regards

Yep, he doesn't want to sell it. It started around 17k and he had full price offers but never sold. He continued to increase his price over time to it's current listing. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

If it was 100% correct, complete, and original (paint, etc), it would be worth it.
He's asking a top shelf price for a second shelf down bus. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

The real reason is the seller does not want to sell. At one point I offered to buy it at full asking price and he made up several excuses not to. Everett should have the ad removed. |

In my opinion the bottom seam of passenger rocker doesn't look correct.
Nice chandelier!!
I wish it would disappear as it is driving the price down on nice Flipseats.
This is what an ORIGINAL SURVIVOR is suppose to look like inside:

$34,001 seems a bit much Maybe if he came down to $34,000. _________________ Wash your hands

30k for a nice, mostly complete flip seat/sub hatch would be cool.
The apparent raising the price deal is a total dick move.
Did you PM Everett about it Eric? |

Went and saw this bus in person and purchased the bus for well below asking. Seller wasn't eager to negotiate, but was more than fair when i pointed out some of the flaws. Perhaps a few more weeks of no offers convinced seller to let go at a lower price. The bus belonged to the seller's father who passed. It was a German tourist delivery.
The passenger rocker has been fixed and is passable but not great.
Couldnt find any issues with nose
Engine needs work
Shifting was extremely loose
Brakes need work
Needs front cabin panels
Light rust on passenger floor
The pole for the table is missing
The green bowl is missing
Seals on some of the cabinetry are peeling.
Front turn signal lenses cracked.
Curtains Missing
No Tent
No Toilet |

Congrats on getting this camper I too have been watching the ad, really not an out of line price. (I know you said you got it for below the asking price ). If I were in the market for a camper, and who isnt I would have been all over this one. One owner, tourist delivery, probably lots of history. |
