Anyone ever run the 11" drum brakes from a Porsche 356 on a Beetle? What did you think about them? How would they compare to disc brakes?

Thanks in advance-

tons of people have used 356A and 356B brakes on bugs and they work great! only problem is cost, wheel cylinders and drums and very spendy as well as backing plates, hardware and shoes.

Thanks for the info. I think that 356 brakes would be real trick cause they're period correct for my bug. But, I hear you on them being expensive.

i just sold all my 356 brake stuff for 200 bucks. when i seen the cost of replacing wheel cyls alone i said the hell with it. i plan on running 10s in this car and figured disc brakes all around would be safer anyway. my 356 stuff was complete except for 2 wheel cylinders. if anyone is interested i can throw a phone number at you.
