Not bad! But #3 is the adjustable vacuum switch that is part of the deceleration valve used on VW type 3 with automatic (possibly), VW 412 with automatic (for sure)....VW bus decel with automatic.....I dont know. Ray |

You're both wrong
It's used for the 4th gear vacuum advance cut off on a 72 bus _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Stick your head in the engine compartment and look up, it joins the 2 tank vent lines and connects to the canister. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I think this is from my 72 and I found it in a box of parts and I’m not sure what it is for. It is a very specific rubber connector/ joint on it. The rubber end has a plastic tube piece on the one side too

I have #3 in my 73 automatic. It hasn’t been hooked up in years. |
