|
|
I bought new nose panel grill & screen housing (L & R) parts from KGP&R but they don't fit. The part numbers in their catalogue are:
805-067 60 74 RP Left - $165.98
805-068 60 74 RP Right - $165.98
Has anyone else had the same problem? Or is the problem on my car?
Here the part is shown over the aperture where it is supposed to fit. It is both too long and too high.
On the diagonal, the part is 35cm (13 and 5/8 inches) and it is 10.5cm (4.5") high.
But the aperture on the car is only 29cm (11.5") and 8.5cm (3.5") respectively. The area where the original part was taken off is visible here, and one would expect the replacement part to fit exactly in the same place
What is it that I don't get? _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly

They shouldn't slide in the opening, I believe they are supposed to be welded on the inside. _________________ -Jared

Yep.
The journey of life consists of long periods of mind-numbing boredom (sanding and scraping, for example) punctuated by short bursts of panic.
I had one of those panic moments yesterday. TheFop provided the answer. I was supposed to receive 2 pieces for each grill, but got only the one side. TJ at KGP&R is sorting it out as I write.
Case closed, thank you.
