Moving the rear heater out of the way

I use my '91 without any rear seats to haul lot 'o stuff and to use my custom bed. I've already moved the ECU behind the left panel in front of the rear wheel. The heater is in the way and I want to move it to the area under the driver's seat and install a grill so it will blow the heat backward.

The question is: should I just extend the hoses from the existing location of the "T"s or should I replace the "T"s with straights and move the "T"s forward near the new heater location?

Thoughts?

move the T's there's no sense in have more heater hose going backwards and forwards under the van

That was my inclination. How 'bout the restrictor? If I'm closer to the front should I drill it out a smidgen?
