anyone else find junk in their transmission after a few dusty roads, or after pressure washing the underside of the drive train? wondering if anyone has ever made a drain to tube to minimize the filling action that the stock vent hole allows... _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

Go to stickies above to "Transmission for Dummies", on page 22 half way down and you can see how to add a fitting to run a hose to were ever you want to keep crap out of your trans.
The fittings are cover with orange tape. They are 1/8NPT to either 1/4 or 5/16in.
There really is no reason to go larger size hose as it just for air expanding when hot and condensing with it cools down.
Another option is to use a bellows that would allow for the expansion of the air. This would make for a closed system where nothing could get in.
On my own trans I just loop a hose approx. 3-4in higher that top of trans. _________________ Joseph
