Hey guys,
Well I'm bored as can be at work so naturally I started thinking about my Ghia. The idea of going slightly custom just came to my mind (since its only a 70) and I was wondering if a 67 or older fuel tank would drop right into my Ghia. I couldn't find anything using the search, and have never owned anything older than a 68.

Yes, the '61-'67 beetle/ghia gas tank will fit 68-'74 ghias, but you will need to modify the passenger side fender to replace the fuel filler door and fill the hole in the side of the trunk where the filler neck goes. I did this same modification to my former '69 ghia coupe when the passenger side fender was hit by a hit-and-run driver. I replaced the fender with one from an older model ghia and bought an older gas tank.
