So, I did a little welding Saturday but just wasn’t feeling well. I did get the ends done so that it was self supporting.
The back end at the close out panel
The front flange at the Napoleon hat
Sunday and Tuesday Been working on the front quarter panel. The holes to drill out the spot welds were so large and my welding skills are well, I hesitate to call them skills, but it is slowly but surely coming together. It’s been a matter of weld, grind, brush, sand, repeat. I’ll continue tomorrow. _________________ My father's 1970 Beetle-

Actually no. When I dismantled my 64, I ended up blocking access to the 58. That and work. Trying to move airplanes before the end of the fiscal year. Ugh! |

Hi, great work. I am watching with interest as I am doing a similar project. Are you welding with gas? |
