I like how they mounted the dual horns (sirens?) off the bumper brackets, rather than drilling holes in the bumpers. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I can only talk to late fastbacks and squarebacks. Both discontinued pop-outs, but left tempting remnants that let you retrofit them, though with some work.
In both cases the holes in the body are there, but some features are missing, such as welded nuts (fastback) or the pivot plates (squareback B-pillars).
There are threads on how to do it, but ,y pint is that it is often done to late models so photos (ours or publicity) can't be relied on as authoritative. |

WOW a late model (71+) Notch with pop outs. I thought they were discontinued after 70. |
It's very possible that's a photo of a '70 that was retouched to add the ventilation slots in the C-pillar, and perhaps the dash outlets, too. Publicity shots came early in the yearly production cycle and so they may have repurposed an older picture.
I can't clearly see the wipers, which I think changed sides from '70 to '71. |
Did the Notch get pop-outs later?
from the gallery another 71

You can just make out the wipers parking on the right.
Pop outs were supposedly discontinued after the end of the 70 model year. Some of us have added them though. I know I did on my 71 Notch, and even posted pics of doing it in my build thread. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
