Oil in Throttle Body?

Not Keystone Excel amounts mind you, just a smattering of oil in the throttle body. Normal or a problem?

Most likely normal, it's probably from the PCV. Oil vapors come up to your intake hose connection and accumulate a bit. Happens on most of my vehicles.

Think of it as automatic upper cylinder lubrication.

84s lack the restriction in that hose from the breather tower to the S-Boot and (perhaps when the diaphragm fails in the tower) can suck some oil into the intake.

Later vans had a 5.5mm restriction in that hose, I added one to mine to improve the idle.
