I have a brochure from Riviera showing a model known as the Ski Bum. This model came with stuff for a ski lover including a heater and insulation, custom spare tire cover and of course a custom mural on the bus side! Anyone seen one before or have one of these rare campers?

Shocked

I want this, though I bet anyone who came upon one of these used in the last 20 years assumed the skier paint job was some PO hack and sadly had it repainted not knowing it came 'from the factory' like that.

Also, I image the guy who airbrushed that skier looks like Bob Ross and showed up everyday for work at the Riviera factory in a corduroy suit.

Hitting the slopes tomorrow. The mountains to the west of me got pounded with snow this week so hopefully the bus will make it through.

Ahh yes, I just found my favourite thread; ski bums and van murals lol! which reminds to ask why no one has van murals on their vw? Not the hippie flower crap, I'm talking about epic star wars portraits or wild horses airbrushed onto the side of a panel van hahah!

I would love to do a winter ski roadtrip in the canadian rockies and in the US like jackson hole or lake tahoe... Only problem is my bus is nearly rust free and I don't know if its worth the trade off of introducing new rust. Does anyone have an opinion on that? Plus i would probably have to buy 4 new winter tires or at the very least chains.
