What are the 2 holes on the rain deflector for? It just gets squeezed into place with the glass right?

Got to remember that these VW parts were made in a factory without any anti-gravity facilities. Two holes are for hanging up for painting purposes. Laughing

Look around more and you see plenty of holes for hanging. From Transaxle and engine cases on the assembly lines to valve covers for paint, etc...

but not on the pulley cover - you know, the piece mostly left off after the first time the fan belt got changed.

Guessing they had a holder that tin was sprung loaded into.
