1974 Safare' Camper. 142,000 original miles. 2 owner van, never been in a accident, no rust at all. The bus is all original with the exception of one repaint in its factory rare and desirable Kasan Red (L30-B), new front seat upholstery, and new door panels. Rare factory A/C and factory working propane furnace. The van sleeps 4 (2 below and 2 up top on a slide out bunk). The van has ample storage compared to a standard pop top camper. The rear seat also converts into a sectional style dinette or seating area for 4, seat belts for 4, on board potable water (11 gallon tank) and a factory rare grey water tank (12 gallon) with a sink, 2 burner propane stove and super rare factory propane furnace with adjustable thermostat, super rare awning with its ultra rare factory tent, attached and stow-able side entry step and propane tank. The interior is in near mint original condition, factory upper window screens, metal pot with spigot that is used to heat water on the stove, super rare factory tent and awning as well as factory snap on bug screens for all the windows including the front door windows, upper screens for the sliding windows, has its original dual cup holder that mounts between the front seats or on the dash on the passenger side under the glove box. The van has a very durable and handy (stock) metal roof vent that opens and closes very similar to one you would find on a newer Vanagon Westfalia. Auxiliary battery set up with solenoid isolator. integrated trailer hitch/receiver that bolts directly to the frame. This van came stock with AC.

I wonder about the black rims, trim rings and lack of side reflectors. _________________ 70 Sunroof Kombi

That is a good question. I would think they would be white. Unless it was special order?
Found it in the classifieds.

Good eye. The bumper trim should have jumped out at me.
I have a request into the owner for M-Plate info.
Good day

To add to the original survivor thread...
I fixed up a 1972 VW Sportsmobile with only 55,000 miles on it. It has original parts that I have never even seen before, like the little plastic caps on the screws at the front of the dashboard, behind the window:
I recently sold this bus, but there are a lot of photos at

also you'd think they'd know but it's a '70 model, not a 69... _________________ Also, vanagons! |

Shape of the bumper trim, short rear view mirror and no “cap”’on the dash rubber strip above the gage cluster. These 3 are 70 and onwards only. _________________ Also, vanagons! |

11,000 original miles. One of ten converted to electric power. I found it on a pot farm in Northern California. The interior was absolutely mint. I should have never sold it😢 |
