Jeff, the seats look awesome! Sorry I had to "poke" a little to get an update posted, glad you did! 😎

Who's gonna finish your roll cage & what are you doing (powder/paint/chrome)? Also, offer still stands for me/Bill/Bob/etc to roll the 45 minute drive to Cola and help with assembly...and swill a few 🍻🍻👍🏻.

Hey Bill, no worries as I obviously needed some prodding LOL. Cage is just going to be painted as there is no tank large enough to chrome it. I appreciate the offer and at the moment I'm elbow deep in the transmission still. I will definitely let the gang know if/when I need some assistance or a drink Wink

Who made that one? Who's sells it?

Are you talking about the front beam? If so it made and sold by Airkewld.com

Jim, as Bob Ross would say "That's just a happy little mistake" LOL When they originally did the embroidery they used yellow instead of the gray so they made it into a little bag for me. Smile

Happy New Year and time for the yearly update I guess. A lot has happened, it went in for chassis work and is back home in the currently frozen over south. Here's how she sits finally out of the trailer. The plan is to drive from SC to Carlisle with some fun stops along the way before making another trip in June. There's a ton of work left for me to do so I will update later when there's actual progress to report Smile

No I did not make the wing. The Wing was made by Bruce Meyers. It is a option when ordering the kit from Meyers Manx.

While waiting on more parts and a welder to pay me a visit, I decided it was time for more arts and crafts Smile

Now I understand that radios in buggies are not for everyone and I figure that I've already alienated most of who would be seriously annoyed by it by running the Subaru drivetrain. After looking at the back seats ( honestly more like the lack of while I'm driving) I've decided to ditch them in favor of opening up the back to much more useful storage. I don't know any legless midgets personally and that's all I'd really feel okay with sticking back there. Well now I have gobbs of space!

Anyway, here it is Cool

Just updating to build thread to say it’s been finished, driven almost 10,000 miles in 6 months and then broken, repaired and currently waiting for rebuild.
Here’s a photo shoot somewhere in the middle of all that.

So after a fun few days on the beach Ken and I (I blame Ken LOL) went out on a new patch and discovered the limit of whoops my buggy was capable of going over at too brisk of a pace was 11. After 11 it had a VERY sad gangsta lean on the rear passenger side where I thought I had broken a torsion bar. After limping off the beach, the Manx club sprang into action so we could get to a garage for a more semi perm fix of beating the torsion back in to the center section a little deeper so I could drive back onto the beach (carefully) and then the 300+ miles back home so I could take it down to nothing and visit Joe for surgery.

The block of wood on the floor was a reclaimed knife block that held the rear up to drive the 200 yards to the hardware store...

At the hardware store, we made the most out of the options we had available. And by we, I mean the club...I only supplied the damage and card to pay for said parts LOL

This is the repairs taking place at Eric's garage Island Cruisers at OBX, SUPER GREAT PEOPLE! https://islandcruisersinc.com/

In order to make these repairs, EVERYTHING had to come apart.

Since everything was already apart I figured now was a good time to add wipers.

What is the secret to working wipers without the wiper arms chewing up the windshield rubber? Can you close the hood?
