Drove to work the other morning, no problem. Ran an errand after work and my 72 suddenly didn't want to idle once it was warmed up. I drive this car every day about 40 miles round trip and have not had any issues. I had the carb rebuilt by Volksbitz a couple of years ago. I've checked plugs and they look good, rotor, cap and points are relatively clean. Checked the carb mounting bolts and the screws that hold the float bowl cap. All is well there. Starts right up every time, don't even have to give it gas most of the time. When I first got this car it had worn throttle shaft bushings (hence the rebuild). Haven't had a running issue since. But it does act like the same symptom. I also checked the fuel filter screen (which was clean) and added an in line The only other thing I can think of is that I got gas the other day. Maybe had too much moisture in it?We have had a lot of warm then cold around the Midwest.

Sounds like your idle jet could be blocked. Its located just below the choke unit and looks like a brass bolt. Remove it and blow through it. Do not over tighten when re-installing it.

Thanks. A bit cold and wet today so I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know.

Blew out the idle jet and it's running again. Thanks for your response Tim.
