Does anyone know the part numbers for the Audi-based Big Brake Set?
Being over here in Germany, I am up to my eyeballs in parts, and can get almost anything.
Yes, I would love to just buy GoWesty's setup, but shipping costs and duty taxes are prohibitively expensive. _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

Now to find a German machine shop that will help, and not think I am MAD! _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

I am sure you already checked, but I am surprised you cannot find a full kit in Europe already made. _________________ 86 Syncro Tintop G60

Why pay 1000 Euro for a kit I can scrape up at the schrottplatz for 100, have a few pieces machined for half that, and have the same set-up?
I'm sure there are other options than the ONE I found, but I'm a do-it-yourselfer. Why pay someone else when this is within my scope of abilities?
Yeah, it's nice to open a box and see shiney parts you know will work, but where is the challenge of making it work? _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

I had a BBK on Domo, and I really liked it. Doing 200KPH, and being able to slow down a Westy, and stop quickly if I needed to was a great feeling. I want that feeling again in the next Wohnwagen I build. _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

I don't know if the information in those links is elsewhere, but wow, nice work. Doable project, and hopefully a great outcome. next needed are the gonads and a pick N pull yard of fun! _________________ Although I got a funny message from the Porsche guys, it read, "what a mighty ship that you must sail"

There is another version of the rear adapter plate. I started with the dimensions of that one but changed it to my liking. As far as I know I was the first Sharan-disc-in-the-front converter but I know a few that have gone the same route after me with the instruction on the blog.
It's just a matter if fitting things together. How hard can it be? _________________ Vanagon mirror end caps |
