I know there’s a offroad thread already, but I’d like to start one that’s more detailed to help others that would like to join the high life.

Tires: 235 75 15
Wheels: Gas burners repros. ET 42 (if my Cal. Is right)

Front lift: 2.5” WW spindles
Front shocks: Empi rear bug coilovers

Rear torsion bar: +2 outer -1 inner ( If I remember correctly )
Rear plates: ¼ “ notch..( Yeah I know )
Shocks: Stock ( Maxed out, not much droop)
CV’s: Empi type 2 offroad ( holding up to a Chevy 4.3) Max 25*
Axel angle ? ( I’ll update)

There's some tire rubbing at full stuff on the rear of the dogleg.
The rear sits about 1" lower ( looking to get atomwerk 3" lift plates) to help with the trophy truck look.

I dig it.
My current tentative plans are to lift this 68' an inch or two in the front, maybe a small bump in the rear.

and install these tires

My top leaks horribly so instead of fixing it, I'm pulling it off and making a high top for it to allow for easier stealth camping. Your bus certainly hits home to my ideal camper.

Tcash: lifted bus specs. would be a better title

livin that's a sweet bus, love the right hand drive. Hightops make stealth camping much easier. Ater lifting and putting a hightop on your bus you might want to get a HD front swaybar and install a rear swaybar. They help alot with the weight transfer and make the bus feel planted on on/off ramps.

Is anyone running staggered tires on a lifted bus? I'd prefer to run the same size front and rear but using a taller tire on the rear would give lift with less CV angle. I'm thinking about either 215/75's & 235/75's or 235/75's & 30x9.50's (mathematically the 30x9.5's are only 1/4" (6mm) wider but over an inch taller than the 235's). Mounted on early bus 15" wheels, raised spindles and raised horseshoe plates. I'd set the rear suspension so the bus sits level.

Please let's not turn this into a discussion about gearing/cooling Smile Thanks!

So, nice start to a thread, but I'm looking fir a lil more specs ...
Just installed a WW 2.5" lift kit.
Barely got stock axles to bolt up. When I did, I got cv chatter. Bought longer axles and type II off road cv's. Still got chatter, buubinly on unloaded cv's. Checked axle angle (16degrees)
I tried different combinations, old axles new cv's, old cv's new axles, tore down old cv's regreased.
Right now I have stock in drivers side and they are the quieter ones so I put passenger back to stock, snd it sounds like it's better binding on acceleration and chattering when unloaded.
I'm gonna swap side to side to see if there's a problem on one side.
I also removed circlip to see if sliding axle would stop binding. Nothing seems to work.
Before swapping to 930 axles and cv's or 944/924 cvs, is there something I might be missing

So, update
Went with empi 21” axles, 944 cv’s and a wheel alignment
Everything worked awesome for 3 days.
Then every time I turned right at an intersection I could here the cv clicking.
It now, a 1000 miles later, seems to click mildly most of the time

Wondering if I need to pull rear suspension again, replace torsion bushings? Replace spring plates with HD adjustable?

Why would rear suspension slowly slip out of alignment?

Heading to alignment shop to have it confirmed

16* is less than stock. Are you measuring fully extended?
You may need to go to 930 CV's

Good luck
