The mounts are at least tacked in place. Still need plating and finish welding

Fuel tank is in and plumbed.
Steering Box is being fitted along with the Cab
Gutted the swiss cheese floor to make way for the new raised floor.
Hope to reuse the stock parking brake handle
Cab still needs to drop another 8 - 10"

I think it would be insanely cool to move the cab forward over the front axle and build a flat bed for the truck.
Regardless, this is an amazing build. _________________ If I knew what I was doing; I wouldn't be building a buggy! |

Relocating the headlight buckets
Cab has one inch of drop to go
Gutted a lot more floor to get the cab low
The doors and cab will lose everything below the blue tape.

I'm getting into the same scenario soon of welding new thick structure to thin old german metal, What is your welding setup? _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.

I am using a Lincoln Power Mig 256. I love it. I have had a couple of lesser migs from the big box stores in the past and had nothing but trouble with them. You get what you pay for and it was worth every penny. The 2" square steel in the photo is 14 gauge.

Started on the integrated roll cage/body mount system for the Cab today. (Lower part of the picture, the part in the middle is temporary bracing)

4 of the Cab Mounts are done. Have a few more mounts and cage tubing to go.

Started building a compartment to house an A/C unit under the seat utilizing a void in the frame.
Started with a sheet of 18 gauge
With any luck, this will be finished in a day or two

The Steering Box and Brake Pedal Assembly are both finished and installed. Also drilled and tapped all of the cab mounting points into the frame
