Hi guys I am in the process of putting an automatic transmission in a vet's trike so his wife can drive it I'm looking for any pointers I believe I have what I need to couple the 010? auto Trans to the 1600cc air cooled engine but just realized the "axle stubs" on the different are larger than the ones from the manual can I change the ends on the half axles or what should I do???

Is the new automatic from a type 3(fastback/squareback) or from a type 2/4(van)?

There are several aftermarket cv flange adapters and stub axles available. They are type1, type 2, and 930. A little time in the forum should clarify the issue. The type 3 auto trans has unique uneven length axle shafts.
