Adapted from the split forum to the bay forum, and now to the vanagon world...im having a wrenching party at my place!

saturday the 7th, starting at 9am!
where
2412 State street everett WA 98201
What:
fuel lines and heating system on my 80 vanagon westy is on the list, among other things. welcome to come and hang out, learn, teach, assist, hold a drink and point and tell others they are doing it wrong...WHATEVER! just come hang out, and if you have one, drive your vanagon 
after the wrenching party, there will be an exclusive caravan to west seattle for the greatter seattle bus gathering going on in this thread here:

I wish I could've made to meet you all. I had a last minute 9a interview. I put your address in my phone- you are only 1.2 mi away! I was going to drive by at 8:30a, but figured it was way to early.
I am hoping I can get over there next time, so I could learn more about the vanagon. Did you get everything you wanted to get done finished?

Great turnout! it was a soggy wet day, but we got 3 other vanagons besides COrkey, and two other vanagon owners, plus Dugfresh in his Rivi. got my fuel lines done, cleaned my heater out a bit...more to do on that later, but whats left is behind the dash....
mounted my alloy wheels, started to install curtains, didnt get done with that.
heres the group about halfway through the day
I had loads of fun for sure, looking forward to the next one! (maybe in a few weeks...month ish? )

there will be others, i am sure.
didnt quite finish my list, but got the important ones done (the fuel lines and muffler) need to get after the vent lines next, as apparently the kit didnt include that....

Having just done this myself, I would love to have been there to help since I'm just down in Tacoma.
Sadly, I work weekends and I currently have my dashboard already removed so I don't really have anything to secure the instrument cluster to at the moment. I need to see about getting a new work schedule, maybe I can join in some other time in the future, I'd love to get to meet other local van owners without ambushing them at bars and talking their ears off.
