I can't get a super clear pic of the badge on Google, but Simca looks like a real possibility.

I don't think so. Of course, like the Type 3, they may have changed the badge style.

Well, excuse the hell out of me... it looked possibly like a '1500' emblem on the back of a Simca wagon in a couple pics, but I couldn't get a real up close shot. Laughing

What have you been able to find out about it? Anything?

I saw this same exact badge listed for sale on eBay out of Italy (I think) about 2 years ago. The seller showed the early 'correct large 1500' badge that we all recognise in the advert and this 'wrong 1500' is what turned up.

I promptly returned all of them to the seller (think I purchased about 10 of them) and got a refund.

Not sure what they are either but the seller of those almost refused to believe they were not the large 1500 badge and was misrepresenting them in his advert. Beware.

nautha probably bought all the fake badges that Aaron returned to Italy? Wink

How about driver's side front fender badge for 1962 Opel 1500?

hard to tell in google images but it looks similar. Not all of them have this badge but it can be seen on a few pix and this manual
