Go to an electrical supply house and ask for a product that we use at work. We call it glastic, it's basically a 4x8 sheet of fiberglass and is available in different thicknesses. I'm not sure on the cost but might be easier for you than laying sheets of glass. MY buddies at the ACVW resto shop also go to the city buss company and get old billboards off the sides of busses. They are made out of styrene plastic.
Thanks for the feedback on Glass Action. Now I just have to decide what to do,

I'm going to need to lay it out from scratch cause I'm thinking of builtin arm rests and slightly angled speaker pods at the bottom front corners of the door panels and a separate tweeter pod up higher on the door. The built in arm rests will give me room for window and lock switches. But thanks for the idea, will probably come in real handy when I smooth out the back were the rear seats were. I will probably flush mount the amplifiers and MSD ignition box back there. _________________ Jesse

Finally received all the parts to get the regulator all together. Now I need to drill a hole for the return line on the top of the tank.
Tomorrow the MSD distributor gets here and the ignition will be complete.
It would be nice if there were speed shops around here like back home in California but I guess mail order is better than nothing

Try this place. It's by the Golden Glades interchange IIRC. If it is the one I'm thinking of it used to be called Murray's auto supply back in the 80s/90s. They are probably mostly American parts but it may worth a shot. It looks like they have a shop in Pompano as well.

The weather has been so crappy, hot and humid that I've been putting off finishing the reinforcement welds for the rear suspension air bags so I've been keeping busy here and there with other things.
I finished the wiring harness for the air solenoid manifold and the wiring for the center console. Now I'm just waiting for the dash gauges to get here so I can cut the holes in the dash piece so I can get that and the center console painted.
Thanks to c21darrel I have all my glass now and waiting to get it back from the tint shop to get started on the head liner.
Hope you're all having a great labor day weekend! _________________ Jesse

Scratched one more item off the todo list.
I just need to make a couple more cut outs on the dash (turn, high beam, oil and alt. indicators) and it and the center console can finally get painted and installed.
I can't think of anything else I'm missing... But if I did I'm pretty sure I'll remember at the worse time

The gauges look really good. They look like they should have come that way from the factory.
I know the brand name, but What is the name of those gauges, I want them _________________ ----------------------

I had to laugh, it looks like you're quoting my signature line
The gauges are VDO Cockpit Royale. I liked them because they don't look too techy or out of place (in my opinion) excellent quality and very easy to read at a glance. For $10 I also ordered a set of T10 5 watt LED white bulbs and they look exactly like what I wanted for this car. _________________ Jesse

It's been a while but I've had a chance to get some work done. I got the 21 circuit fuse panel mounted and have started separating the wiring by location. The entire trunk area is going to be covered in a fitted black trunk liner carpet and I'm in the middle of making a template to cover all the wiring behind the dash.
I was also able to get to the electric release for the front. The only thing left on this is to do the emergency hidden release.
Finally I've decided to do an small overhead console and I'm wiring it up as a dual purpose map/dome light. I made the bracket so it sits flush with the natural line of the headliner. The black trim piece you can see is where the headliner will be held in place. The console snaps into that trim and is screwed into the bracket.

Sorry didn't see your question. Basically I used the nut to find where I would put a hole through the door with enough space to spin the nut.
I then drilled a 1/8" pilot hole from the hinge side of the door.
I closed the door and through the same pilot hole drilled another hole into the pillar.
Then I used a step drill to slowly grow the pilot holes until the stud passed through.
I had to cut square access holes in the pillars behind the dome light switches to get access to the wiring. I'll be installing a couple of threaded rivets to make a screw on access cover for them. _________________ Jesse
