Day 1:
Brendan and I flew into Denver, picked up the bus, and visited family. No time to hamg with joetiger at Red Rocks unfortunately.
Day 2:
Drove up to Grand Tetons NP. Had a flat on drivers front about 60 miles in. Went flat fast. Just managed to get on to the shoulder while it was still in one pice. Really glad I got a new replacement tore inDenverback in May. I’ll need to see if this can be repaired or get something as a replacement spare.
Grabbed a campsite at Colter Bay CG.
Steak and mac-n-cheese for dinner. _________________ Dave O

So cool you guys are doing another trip! Followed your first one religiously. Wish we had time to hang in bozeman or helena! Nothing better than a Westy and your family. Happy trails! _________________ 1990 Syncro 16" DoppleKabine 2.1 DJ 112i

It has been real tough finding a good enough cell signal to post pics. Got one today in Yellowstone at Mammoth.
Day 4:
Horseback riding then relaxing back at camp.
Our MO has been to do something the first half of the day and relax at camp for the rest. Brendan gets his down time and is able to handle the travelling.
Filet Mignon and mashed potatoes for dinner.

Day 10:
B and I took it easy. Just overlooked the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and showered. (While at the showers we had to wait while the rangers escorted a group of preteens to the showers. They were on an adventure trip and someone accidently fell on a can of bear spray and triggered it inside the 12 person van. It was not fun for them...)

Hi Dave and Brendon:
I am always so impressed at how much you manage to cram into your vacations! It was nice meeting you and your mother at Syncro Solstice in May of 2017. Mrs. Howesight and I dearly missed repeating the Solstice trip in 2018 - - but we will be there in 2019.
If you end up on this side of the border, I can recommend some fun spots. Thanks for all the pics! _________________ '86 Syncro Westy SVX |

I did spend a couple hours planning out the rear hatch chuck box I am going to build out of aluminum diamond plate for the euro bus project. I guess I cannot sit still for too long.

All those pics of you and your son warm my heart. Well done on getting out together.
For size perspective on your box, this one that I’m working on is 26” wide (fits on the RMW swing-away shelf) x 25” tall x 18” deep. It’s big and your dimensions look more reasonable. I may rebuild it smaller but I wanted to see what the max size box would look like.
I’m looking forward to seeing your box! _________________ - Jim

Sorry I didn't keep up with the posts during the trip. We were in no cell zones so much that I got out of the habit of daily posts. When we returned home life got very busy. I had to prepare for a rocketry competition in Poland and am just now getting settled down and catching up on things. Here are the final posts for this trip.
Day 11:
Left Yellowstone and drove up to the east side of Glacier NP.
Saw a black bear mother and cub, hidden mostly, on the way out.
Our campsite in Glacier at the St Mary campground.
It was a windy drive up and I was somewhat frazzled when we arrived. Nice to relax for the rest of the day. _________________ Dave O
