Many years ago a friend of mine acquired a VW based vehicle that I have not been able to identify. I am no expert certainly but I have never found a picture of one like it or been able to put a name to it. He still owns it as far as I know.

Well,
We marked it as auto technic, but it is not sure. It can also be a homemade, but definately an interesting car that deserves a restoration.
Regards

Just to put the record straight. These pictures were taken in 1983. I do not own this car or know of it's current location or status. The last time I spoke to the owner was 1993.
I was merely curious if anyone knew the manufacturer. Yet.
I started showing pictures around of this car almost 30 years ago at VW shows. It's hard to believe that nobody has identified it yet.
A few years ago I found the pictures that pbaptist posted.
I was just hoping for a positive ID.

I think Auto-Technik made just very few ones and each looked differend.
About 40 in 1950 / 1951.
They where located in Uberlingen at the Bodensee. (Bodensee lake)
Here is one.
Here an other one.
Some similarities but also lots of differences to the one in this threat. So, who knows. _________________ Master of my domain! |

I call the owner about once every couple of years... Not for sale. I still think it is an AutoTechnic too... predecessor of the D & S _________________ some cars
