| Also using that NAPA metal filter but mounted under fuel tank along with an inline shut off valve. I'm using 5 mm braided line that came from one of the vendors (WW I think). |

...since we live 20 miles from Tulsa, we buy all needed gas line and all needed new parts from Bughaus.com. They sell only quality German braded fuel line ...guess I am just partial to Bughaus.
Can't say, I ever remember changing the fuel lines for newer...I think, my single cab braded line has been in there for near 20 years, clamps too.

Hey bughaus's actually says that theirs is multi fuel rated, and will exept e10 - not a bad price per meter either.
Jbugs has yet to email me back on when my order will be shipped, or the cost.

Hi. I've been in this game many years and daily drive air-cooled VW's since 1973. I would not be too concerned about the country of origin with fuel hose. The inspection, and hence replacement, of the fuel hoses is a maintenance item. It was when I was a dealer tech back in the '70's when we had real gasoline and continues to this date. It is my understanding there is up to 20 different fuel blends across the USA. Wikipedia states Brazil is the second largest producer of ethanol fuels. I don't know if their export fuel hose to the USA meets specs for this fuel, but since, as previously stated, I don't let my fuel hose remain on the vehicle long enough to be a problem (cross my fingers). I try to encourage my few customers to replace the fuel hoses, filter, and fan belt approx. once a year. I did this 30 years ago and remain vigil on this.
As far as buying a common needed maintenance item, as fuel hose, 3000 miles away is ludicrous! There has to be someone closer. If not hit me up as I can get anything you need and, as an example, will USPS mail you a 3' roll of hose, filter, and clamps in one of there packages that are economical. Don't they have these envelope/packages that state "if it fits it ships" for cool prices.
