Trying to figure out which is failing, my clutch or slave cylinder?? I've had some hard shifting for a couple months now, and if I'm coming to a stop and put in the clutch it feels like the brakes are slightly applied as I roll. The travel on the slave is about 1/2" and reading some other forums I'm thinking it's too short a throw.
UPDATE:
I went to change out slave, some fluid leakage but not enough to show at my reservoir, compared old throw rod to new and found it had worn at least 3/8-1/2", before removing the slave I greased up my new throw and put it on and voila, new clutch!, full ease of shift and the travel has increased as well!! The leak was not significant enough to complete the job and the results were near perfect so I'm milking this one till it fails! Smile
Also, had a thought to place a nut up inside the slave to compensate for loss of shaft as well, when I got it out on the work bench to see if my MacGyver method would do the trick and it would have, 5/16" nut with round shoulder in a pinch I would achieved the same amount of travel.. Smile
