Rockauto has a brand new Centric brand cylinder (if fast and square cylinders will fit your notch) for $85. Centric has turned out to be pretty good parts so far.

CENTRIC Part # 13033303 Premium Master Cylinder-Preferred; Centric Premium
To Ch# 3112268738

$85.79
They also have a Schaffer seal kit for $25
1970 VOLKSWAGEN FASTBACK 1.6L H4 : Brake/Wheel Hub : Master Cylinder Repair Kit Price
RAYBESTOS Part # MK514 Professional Grade
Schaefer Brand Units
Master Cylinder Repair Kit; 3/4" - MANUAL BRAKE equipped w/SCHAEFFER CYL; Engine Code P

$25.99
Just rebuild your own. Its not a big deal at all unless your cylinder has rust pits deeper than about .003".
And this is a warning I give to everyone....not to bust anyone's potential NOS sale....but NOS hydraulic parts (including shocks) are a total crap shoot. About 90% of them have a very short life. As the seals harden up over a period of about 2 years or more....if they are constrained in the bore of a cylinder they take a permanent "set" or shape. This will not allow them to properly inflate and seal upon pressure being applied.
However...if it were an NOS seal kit....the cups are not constrained and they have no issues.
You have been warned. Ray

Thanks to everyone for the help. I was a bit ahead of myself in thinking I needed a new MC. Turned out to be loose brake switches that were leaking. They switches have been tightened and the brakes bled all the way around and everything is good!
Jim Adney was a great help in getting things sorted out!!
Now on to getting the rear drums back to the original setup......... |
