There will be a German Car day at the Larz Anderson auto museum on Saturday Oct. 10th this year. It was rained out on Father's Day. Perhaps we will take a ride down to the show if any campers are interested.

The Transporterfest is Sunday at the same location.

We're getting closer and closer folks! Yes. Transporterfest marks the end of the show and camp season for many, but what better way to sign off for the year than an EPIC campout in Salem Mass?!

Every year we have more and more campers squeezing into the AWESOME igloo section of Winter Island Park in historic Salem. We keep it tight, and make sure everyone has a great time!

I'll be arriving likely on Wednesday this year but folks come throughout the week and weekend. Some arriving Thursday, others Friday and Saturday.

Every year we do a great cruise together to the show Sunday morning.
As we get more and more campers the line gets longer and longer; naturally it becomes increasingly difficult to keep a procession of 30 buses together. I'm used to driving processions - but most are lead by my hearse and I tend to stand out. Apparently, such is not the case in my Sage Green Bay. So to help, this year I will have printed directions of the route I am traveling. Of course I will slow down or stop where able to try and keep as much of us together as able. I have also reached out to Salem PD to see about getting one or two cars to help us out of town, citing an increased number of visitors that we bring each year. No concrete answer yet.

Let's hear it! Who's coming?

Nope, plenty of other fish in the sea.

What did you go to last year in the rain? German Day is usually on father's day, but was rained out this year. I've never been myself.

Ahh yes, that was a first year show for the museum: Waterbahn I think. Bummer that it was wet, but those water-pumpas have wipers right? German Day this year is a huge event, with all those other swanky brands from de fatherland.

Posting here is good enough. I'm also having people text me at 508.333.7813. I have the "Igloo" group area reserved at Winter Island park for thur.-sat. nights. No need to contact the campground unless you want a separate site with electric, but usually they are pretty booked up.

Figure $20/night CASH for camping in the group area. No electric, ocean view and aggressive raccoons (they open coolers and trash barrels). We also have a large fire pit in our area too.

Camping List, in no particular order:

Stan,
I'll be camping, sans van (yeah- big friggin surprise), so save an igloo for me.
I hope to be up Thursday, quite late likely, but possibly mid-day.

I'll be bringing bicycles and lots of firewood.

Hello, all. I'm coming down from Maine and staying in the Harold Parker State Forest, but I'd love to join your caravan on Sunday - sounds like good stuff.

Has anyone stayed there?
