Does anyone know what people use for to fit the logo into the dash? Ive seen this around, but not sure what the source of the logo is.
What have you used to fill the empty compartment? Looking for ideas, the logo sticks out.

it was always empty unless you had a clock in it, or adapted a tachometer. That VW logo is a hack to my knowledge. Of course you don't tell us where you are or what the year is so it could be some weird South American emblem in Brazilian Bays in which case don't ask in a North American forum where the buses were built in Germany.
edit - now you are in Vancover BC so no. Nothing went there except a clock in some models. That could be a timer or a clock. Many of us put a tachometer in it. The VW emblem looks weird. It isn't even centered.

Im aware it stays empty unless you choose those options. I have a 74 transporter and the image is out of a 78 westy. I've read elsewhere that someone had used a logo/emblem from another vehicle but didn't state the actual source. |

Just hit the wrecking yards and find something that will fit.
I at one time had found a clock that would fit the opening. Used it till it died, wouldn't mind finding another. |

I used the blank out of the spare dash and a hole saw to mount a CHT gauge
I'd like to see someone make a backlit snow globe to fit in there... _________________ my59: Well son, my grandfather died before I got to drive it, so does that answer your question?
