|

I was disconnecting my right front turn signal accembly today. After removing it from the fender I desired to just double check it...turning the ignition key the horn sounds continuously....is this just a coincidence, or is the horn some how connected to the signal fixture not being grounded to the fender ?
My turn signal housing is a cheap aftermarket repro and I am changing it to a Geman made oem. I also thought it was lighting and flashing when I started....but now that it's off the fender dead.
Any ideas....I disconnected the horn for now. |

Your horn is completely independent of the signals. It will work with no fenders installed. Tell more about what you've messed with while the battery was hooked up (!)- and what year so someone can cite the wiring diagram for you. _________________

Bug is a 1964.
I have recently installed a 2nd horn. A vintage klaxton horn just for fun. However this is a single wire horn that connects direct to the battery and is grounded to the frame.
It is independent of everything and is operated by a pull wire. |
