Would anyone be able to point me to the right lug nut application for adapters and these wheel? I ordered the same nuts as the studs and Centerlnes on my other buggy and that was completely wrong. I'm thinking maybe an acorn type lug?

Look up "mag seat lug nuts" on the google. You need to get the shanks to match the holes in the wheels and the threads to match your studs. _________________ Brian

Look around here
http://www.gorilla-auto.com/lug-nuts
What i had to do with my radir rims was to order new studs. I think they were 14 mm in the disk and 12.5 mm for the lug nut. You also need special washers to match the rim. Clean out the washer area and measure.

Thanks….I dove into it and realized there is no easy answer except to measure and find the exact lug for this application. The rear is trickier since they have oblong lug holes. |

Is the pic for fronts becasue they look correct you just need washers and nuts... You say backs are slotted?
Oblong lug holes means it is a universal mag, the oblong holes had a washer with offset hole so the mag will fit either Ford or Chevy pattern... OR some body wallered them out to fit "other size" studs...
My slotted Mags are UNILUG/Team III Wheels...
UNILUG/Team III Mag wheel...
UNILUG was doing business under the name "TEAM III Wheels" when I did my restoration...
The was a few other brands that had the oval washer/ slotted configuration but I dont remember the names... MY wheels on my buggy were UNILUG/Team III brand... And I had all the washers but the luges were ugly but was able to get new lugs from Team III

check here for the Lun washers
http://www.gorilla-auto.com/lug-nuts-page-10
If you are going to use the rear i would consider having a machine shop make a spacer between the center of the rim and the brake disk, drum. Just to keep everything centered. I was never real happy with the universal rims and just lug nuts.

My local Autozone actually had a couple of 4 Packs of mag wheel lugs in 2 different sizes in stock. I was surprised and found them when looking for something else. I bought a pack for one of my other projects and the next week they had been replaced on the shelf.
But I ordered all new lugs and wheel locks for my buggy from Speedway motors. _________________ Brian

I just back from my local SpeedShop…….Turns out that was know where near an easy task. I needed a set of oblong washers for the rear and different size lugs for the from and back.
Glad I didn't just try to order another set. Chances are it would have been wrong. |

Sounds familiar and typical for lots of buggy (and vw) applications .
Find wheels ya like and then have to deal with making them "fit".
I have 15" slotted aluminum wheels. 4 lug vw front 5 lug Ford rear.
It took some research, with trial and error and modifications to get it all to work together but it works.. and looks great.
Lots of options when it comes to lugs, studs, bolts etc.. and the nice part.. its probably been "done" quite a few times before now..

My problem was despite looking exact, the fronts and back were different. THe rears also had a "keystone" pattern with an oblong hole that needed a special order washer. Found a dude that knew exactly what I needed, ordered it and now I'm on my way. |
