they cam with it, and it lowers combustion temps at cruise, but good ones are hard to find right now. Maybe start watching for the parts at good prices and collect them. The exhaust system has to have the port for it too.

Here is a photo showing the gasket numbers I used to sell quality reproduced ones of. But the photo shows the main parts and how they hook up.

there are four components:

you have an egr valve (of uncertain functionality), but need the connecting rod to the throttle. didn’t find a rod, but found both rod and valve on this site. you might contact avery’s aircooled or the bus co. for just the rod.

new filters are readily available. just google.

the pipe from the filter to the valve probably needs to be used. took me two minutes to find egr pipes on this site. also, avery’s or bus co.

steve kent used to sell gaskets, but i think you can find new gaskets. google away.

then there are fasteners. i used stainless nuts and bolts from my local hardware store. 5 mm, i think.

you can do this.

Thanks all. I took a look at Bentley and then my setup again. the EGR Valve has been closed off, LOL. So not my imagination, it wasn't there to begin with!

I would still remove and block off that valve. They have internal parts that can create a vacuum leak even when the pipe is disconnected/plugged.
