I think I have 95% of these mods plus a few others, it is a disease. |
Created a list one time, and keep it with the van - well over 100 different mods big and small. It's fun, and keeps me from wasting money on frivolous things like my kids' college funds.
Sweet looking ride. |

Thanks! I appreciate your approach to upgrades - they appear to be useful and well-balanced. _________________ - Jim

Kourt,
Have you tried anything larger than the 205/70R15 tires with the Bostig and if so, was the reduced torque noticeable or detrimental? I have 215/60R16 Nokian WR3s on my Bostig and am considering going one size larger but am interested in hearing opinions of folks who may have tried that.
Thanks. |
Howdy,
Still running my 205/70/15s and they are great--and I have not really noticed a torque loss. I'm running an automatic transmission with original ring & pinion.

I felt pretty confident about how many I could spot, and did pretty well through the first page except for some of the suspension upgrades.
But did anyone else notice what appear to be the antennae? CB? _________________ - oderint dum metuant -

Thanks for the info. I like the breathable tents, and keeping it German. The heavier fabrics do not fold in as easily when closing the top then get worn from improper storage. Can't win sometimes. Your top looks right! |

That is the BusDepot standard 3-window canvas tent. Their tents are made by someone in Germany and resold by BusDepot. It's a good tent and was easy to install.
It's slightly lighter in weight than the original tent. I like it because it breathes well. At the beach the two extra windows are a great boon for keeping the van cool--it was sunny and hot at the beach, but the temp in the lower van was nice because all the hot air was sucked up into the upstairs bunk and vented out the ample windows.
At night the beach breeze was still going--but no problems with the canvas or the screens. I would recommend this tent.

It's all about attitude. Flying kites is better then being pissed off. The color of the three window canvas is nice do you have more photos of material and who made it? Is relatively quiet when its breezy? What fabric is it? |

Update: this afternoon some jerk stole the gray chair shown in the picture. Luckily I had the Kermit chair ($$$) stowed in the van. The gray chair was a $35 REI chair and will be easy to replace... but man, I hate being reminded of how many lowlife people are out there. This is the beach, for Pete's sake!
I put together a new kite and flew it in the surf this afternoon... promptly forgetting about that thief... and the world seems awesome again now.
It's a good chair and now someone else is enjoying it!
Fresh gulf shrimp on the Magma grill for supper!
