Bringing the Westy on Saturday. Anybody know if parking in the RV lot is mandatory for us?

I'm under 17' long, but it is a self contained camper.
Here's the text from FAQ on parking?

Quote:
Vehicles measuring more than 17′ in length and/or 8′ in width are required to park in the designated oversized vehicle/RV parking area in Green Lot 1 if space allows.

and

Quote:
Self-contained campers must park in the designated oversized vehicle/RV parking area.

Where are you parking?

cheers
DJ

In similar circumstances 20 years ago in my syncro- yes. They don't want their regular car spaces looking like the back forty of Walmart- where people spread out like their tailgating. Why should an RV regardless of length not park with other RVs?

We might be taking Lefty (78 westy) to chicago for the show. Sure would be nice to have a vw parking area. I havent even looked at a map yet. Interested what everybody is gonna do.
This thread might need in the events page.
