So my car got rained on and I took out some carpet - noticed there was a bit of rustyness on the pedals. I sprayed some white lithium wd-40 on them, drove it around the block and there's an awful squeek/ rubbing noise when I push down on the pedal, and when I let off. Tried some grease - nothing changed. to be clear - It didn't make any noise before, and the clutch works fine..

any help is much appreciated.

nothing to worry about, my knees make the same noise Wink

If it makes noise when cable moves...follow the cable. Unless you have a zirk fitting on the pedal cluster you cant effectively grease it w/o disassembly...altho sprayed wd-40 should temporarily quiet a squeek. Does noise come from tunnel? or where?
