I am not sure if this has been posted before but I just wanted to share a very positive experience with Mr. Injector.

http://www.mrinjector.us/

I sent them 4 injectors last week and they just came back last night - very quick turn around.

They even came back with the proper hoses and clamp pre-cut and pre-installed and a fresh kit of seals.

All of that for $72 total.

No association - just wanted to share. At this price, I will always send them a set whenever I get a van.

He even provided a sheet with the testing results for the injectors.

Hey Chrick:

I just wanted to add that the factory VW injectors are quality units and that cleaning them is thus preferable to buying new ones of unknown quality. The hose installation is a big bonus.

Also, a quick comment, to those wondering, that your injector cleaner company is in Idaho.

I just got through doing business with Mr. Injector. I'll state upfront that I have no financial interest or personal connection here. Though there are other folks who provide this service, I have to say the turn around time and communication were fantastic. I sent two sets over, told him I only needed 4 to be done, but the others could be used/cannibalized as needed. Looks like he checked out all 8, rebuilt/serviced 4, marked the two bad ones, marked the two spares, and packaged all of them up neatly marked in separate sealed bags. The 4 he serviced are totally ready to go with all new seals and hoses and comes with a before/after paperwork to show how they are balanced. He even sent the old parts back, including all of the clamps and bits. Nothing was gassy or oily either. I'm totally impressed and will be a lifetime customer. Thank you Mr. Injector for your top notch service!

Originally I pulled the injectors and thought "Rusty old things! I'm getting new ones."

And I did so..... After market units.

Then I read over and over that OG injectors are best, etc, etc, etc.

So off in todays mail to Idaho go my four rusty crusty injectors, I will see what happens with them.

I hope you are as pleasantly surprised as I was. Very happy w/ Mr. Injector's work.
His attention to detail should appeal to your OCQ.
(my DW likes to say that "Q for Quality" is a much better term than "D for Disorder")

FWIW I have had great results with Fuel Injection Corporation rebuilding my injectors. I thought that the injectors that I got back were new they were so clean.
According to their catalog they also rebuild the AFM, ECU and fuel pumps but I have no experience with those.

I thought that the newer "disc" type were supposed to have a better pattern or something. Maybe that they got clogged less?

Just to give folks a visual, here's what was inside the returned package from Mr Injector... including the jolly ranchers Smile

I'm definitely bookmarking the link syncrodoka listed. Looks like they can do a lot more than just clean the injectors and the other services may come in handy in the future for sure. Thank you.

I've previously been loyal to these guys: http://www.witchhunter.com/ They do good work too, almost an identical service to what Mr Injector offers. Seems to me the main difference here between all these guys doing the ultrasonic cleaning is cost out the door.

Nice spot, it seems. Any feedback (anyone have their's done?) on their rebuilt ECU's?

Thanks,

Have had FIC corporation do an AFM and an ECU for my 82 Air cooled Westy. Ran flawlessly for about two years. Bought a NOS AFM and ECU from a shop going out of business so I swapped in the new ones and carry the FIC rebuilds as spares. Believe it was Bob I spoke with back in the day. If I remember correctly Bus Depot and Go Westy have had or still do use them for their rebuilt units they sell online. Not 100% sure IF they still use them but at one time they did.
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

Another absolute top of the game recommend for Mr. Injector. He is everything the original poster said and a bit more. After a couple positive experiences, I've literally sent the injectors for 7 of my vehicles there. Clean, flawless, and one heck of a nice guy as well. I have no better recommendation than that I would give this business, and have been playing with cars for 40 years.

Funny thing, I happened to be there to pick up injectors for my Mitsubishi Van, and one of you folks' injectors were there. This was in April or so. From back East somewhere. The guy's amazing. If he ever retires, it would be a great business to purchase and operate because he is a one-man operation which is how he keeps the quality consistent, but it also allows him flexibility to be with his family, etc.

This mornings mail brought my injectors home.
Along with three large lifesavers..... Why Three? Shouldn't there be one for each injector? Which one of my four grandchildren here for the Summer does NOT get a lifesaver?

Anyway, they look great!
And to think I had relegated them to mere trash two years ago!

So Doug...... When you walk in with your injectors do you get lifesavers? Wink

Here is a before shot........ See why I was going to throw them away?
But
I've learned through the years..... When rebuilding a car NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY until the job is complete. You just never know what little odd bit of this or that you will need as the job progresses.

Yeah, he insists on heat sealing them in their little bags and placing them in a large bag with a few candies. Last time I was there, it was for the Mitsubishi and the new injector I got was off a bit. So we bought another new one and he got it to match on the graph nicely. That car recently returned from a 3000+ mile trip, borrowed by a pair of 80 year olds to tour Washington State and BC.
