I didn't even think about the tension   I'll fix that tomorrow. I did take a welding class once and the guy said I did great! He drove a ghia back in the day. Said if I ever wanted to come back, he'd teach one on one for the cost of cleaning the shop. I'll see if anyone around here knows how to weld.

Is there still a state/tech highschool in Manchester?
I dunno if they offer classes on a Saturdays-basis but there's Lincoln Tech right up by Bradley.

This video helped me a lot. Watch his technique, the angle, trimming the wire, cleaning the welds with wire brush, etc.
