Keep your eyes on the classifieds. Search on 'seat'.

And craigslist in your area too. Good luck. Very Happy

Watch this classified link.....
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/cat.php?id=57

There are some Eurovan jump seats on there now.

Also post a WTB Ad, they really do work!

Twins! Bless you..... My Daughter had twins...... Child #3 & #4...... Everybody would come up to her and say
"Twins! How Fun!" ......
My Daughters thoughts were "yes, yes they are ...... for about five minutes a day..... The rest of the time it's a heck of a lot of work!"

This might help:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/4865756598.html
I say might because a while ago there was an unfavorable craigslist post written about the seller. After a quick search I was not able to find it. I have no experience with the seller myself. Someone else from the Seattle area may be better able to elaborate.
Someday I hope to get and install the jumpseat and seatbelt. If craigslist doesn't have one, I plan to contact NorthWesty in Renton.
Good luck!
James

I happen to have a jump seat that I am - after all - not going to use in my Syncro. I have even re-upholstered it with fabric from Sew Fine.

I can attach pictures....gotta make them.

All I ask is that you pay the shipping.

Are you looking for a Carat style jumpseat, or Wolfsburg weekender w/ storage? I have a spare Wolfsburg style, brown. PM me if interested.

Be sure to specify that you also need the seatbelt, and the bracket that bolts to the floor/wall, and the bracket that the seatbelt attaches to. Miss any one piece and your goal of safety won't be happening.

they come around, so put a WTB ad up here on Samba and on your regional craigslists..

you can also install the middle seat tracks into a westy floor and use a slide in bench (or rarer single bucket)

Did all this last year..

The GW 3point belt is actually much safer than the original lap only belt.

I was lucky, mine came with the back bracket, if not, one of the retailers sells them. ~$100, so keep that in mind when comparing options.

I had to have the floor brackets made, can get you pics if you like.

Finally, the jump seat is best for your 9yo. It is neither safe, nor legal to install a car seat on a rear faced jump seat.

Moderator note:
Note that we do not allow wanted ads in the Forums - you should use the Classifieds section for wanted ads.

But given that some people have mentioned some other options and some safety issues, I am leaving this thread in place.

The local CL ads show this one.

Not sure how this could be shipped, but would be willing to help out to get it to its final destination.

Thats a double seat for the center, not a jump seat.

Tam, Can you clarify? I think you may have a typo in this statement?

Edit: I think I've got it. Use the jump seat for the 9 year old, NOT for the car seat for the new family addition. Very Happy

$200 for the pair is a great price if you want the jump rear facing seats. Maybe he'd ship?

I just bought a Westy and I have twins as well. They have an older 4y brother, so I am looking for a jump seat as well. Are any of the ones that were mentioned in this post still available?
